Locked eyes and naked souls
Rhine stoned love sparkled off our bodies
Like Diamonds glowing in the moonlight
Maybe I misunderstood
But Certainly
Even if only for a second,
You were mine
Lips pressed tight, and bodies pressed even closer
Twisted tongues and tangled spirits
basking in euphoric silence
I remember us
In that moment, right before the end
Between sobriety and delirium
Before our strings unraveled
Before the rays shined in
And elation became a thing of the past
For a brief second,
You were mine
But then
I blinked
